7 Awesome AI Video Prompts

Digital directing for your AI footage

✅ Make AI video do what you want

Welcome, AI Content Creators! There are reasons why film directors use certain camera “shots”. These video prompts create captivating scenes that are pure awe-inspiring visuals…

In this issue, I’ll finish this 8 part How-To Video AI series called Depth & Tracking Shots, I’ve broken down some sweet cinematic shots and techniques that emphasize scale and depth. I use Kling 1.6 to create these samples but try the prompts in whatever video tool you use. Here’s a demo reel:

For each camera movement in this guide, I’ll include not only the prompt I used to create the examples as a model for you to use but also:

🔥 Uses & Visual impact
⚙️ Prompt keywords
🎬 Films that use them

TIP: Just Copy/Paste the ⚙️Prompt Keywords text into a prompt that includes a description of what you want the scene to be (i.e. in my examples) to apply the effects.

Here we go!

▫️ TIME-LAPSE ▫️

🔥 Compressing time & motion.

⚙️ Accelerated motion, cinematic time compression, rapid transitions, fast cloud movement, immersive speed, light trails, changing landscapes, high-speed photography.

🎬 Interstellar, Dune.

Sample Prompt: The camera floats just above the jagged peaks, the cold glow of the moon casting silver reflections over the untouched snow. The motion moves steadily forward, barely perceptible, allowing the stars to spiral overhead in a breathtaking dance of light and shadow. The Milky Way stretches in luminous trails, meteors flashing in brief, radiant arcs, the entire sky shifting as if breathing in time with the mountains. The camera drifts toward a lone climber standing at the peak, their silhouette dwarfed beneath the endless cosmos, time itself moving differently at this altitude. Shot with a 14mm ultra-wide lens on a long-exposure motion rig.

▫️ WORM’S EYE VIEW (NADIR SHOT) ▫️

🔥 Enhances height, dominance, and impact of the subject in the shot.

⚙️ Extreme low-angle shot, towering perspective, cinematic nadir, exaggerated height, immersive vertical framing, power dynamic, scale distortion, dramatic low shot.

🎬 John Wick, Batman.

Sample Prompt: The camera is pinned to the cold stone floor, gazing directly up at the towering king, his embroidered cloak fanning out like molten gold. The motion remains completely still, forcing the audience into a position of submission beneath his gaze. The camera tilts ever so slightly as he descends the steps, his boots striking the stone with measured authority, reinforcing the unrelenting dominance he exudes. Shot with a 50mm lens to emphasize scale, keeping focus sharp on facial details, intimidation aura.

▫️CRANE SHOT UPWARDS + ASCENDING + DRONE ZOOM OUT▫️

🔥 Expanding perspective & elevation.

⚙️ Ascending perspective, expanding depth, cinematic reveal, progressive framing, immersive vertical motion, aerial cinematography, rising tension, epic elevation.

🎬 Oppenheimer, The Revenant.

Sample Prompt: The camera starts at ground level, framing the warrior’s trembling hands as they grip the hilt of a shattered sword, their breath visible in the cold air. The motion begins a slow vertical ascent, revealing their slumped shoulders, the dirt caking their armor, the bodies of fallen warriors sprawled around them like broken statues. The camera continues its climb, transitioning seamlessly to a drone zoom-out, the battlefield expanding infinitely, tiny figures scattered in patterns of destruction, until the warrior becomes just another lost soul in a war too vast to comprehend. Shot with a hybrid crane-drone system using an 85mm anamorphic lens for intimate detail, then transitioning to a 50mm wide drone pull-back, cinematic color grading with deep shadows and desaturated tones.

▫️EXTREME WIDE SHOT + SLOW TRAVELLING + HIGH DRONE▫️

🔥 Emphasizing scale and isolation.

⚙️ High drone perspective, slow cinematic travelling, vast landscapes, immersive aerial framing, isolated subject, epic scale, cinematic symmetry, visual grandeur.

🎬 Oppenheimer, The Revenant.

Sample Prompt: The camera glides high above, capturing the endless expanse of Mars, where jagged rock formations rise like ancient ruins amidst the swirling red dust. The motion remains slow and steady, tracking the astronaut’s deliberate steps as they leave deep, lonely footprints in the rust-colored sand. The sun hangs low, casting elongated shadows that stretch unnaturally across the landscape, making the astronaut appear even smaller. The camera gradually tilts upward, revealing the vast Martian sky, as if emphasizing the overwhelming solitude of this interstellar wanderer. Shot with a cinematic 24mm drone lens, capturing extreme depth and scale.

▫️WHIP PAN▫️

🔥 Rapid motion & dynamic transitions.

⚙️ Rapid camera movement, dynamic transition, motion blur, cinematic sweep, high-speed pan, kinetic energy, seamless cut, immersive action, fast motion framing.

🎬 Bullet Train, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Sample Prompt: The camera starts in a close-up of the detective’s fingers turning a faded photograph, the creases in the paper catching the light. The motion whips suddenly across the desk to a corkboard covered in newspaper clippings, the red string connecting faces and places. The detective’s breath quickens as he lunges for a missing piece of the puzzle, his realization hitting like a freight train. The camera whips back to his face, his expression shifting from confusion to determination in an instant. Shot with a handheld 40mm lens for intimate framing, moody grading enhances the classic noir aesthetic.

▫️EXTREME BIRD’S EYE VIEW + DESCENDING DRONE + STATIC OVERHEAD CRANE▫️

🔥 Like the last one, but with a stronger focus on geometry and spatial relationships.

⚙️ Extreme overhead shot, drone descending, god’s eye perspective, top-down cinematic motion, high-altitude framing, omniscient composition, abstract geometry, dynamic aerial cinematography.

🎬 The Whale, Barbie.

Sample Prompt: The camera starts at an extreme altitude, capturing an immense circular pattern etched into the desert floor, lines stretching outward like an ancient sigil. The motion begins a slow descent, drawing the figure into focus as the details of the symbols sharpen, emphasizing their deliberate design. Dust swirls around the lone figure, who remains perfectly still. The camera gradually narrows its framing, the vast desert retreating, forcing the viewer to confront the silent figure at the heart of the enigma. Shot with a high-altitude 85mm drone lens, slow descent calibrated for precision.

▫️EXTREME BIRD’S EYE VIEW (SIMPLE)▫️

🔥 Feels like a ‘divine eye’ overseeing the scene, amplifying the drama.

⚙️ Extreme overhead shot, god’s eye perspective, geometric composition, high-angle symmetry, omniscient framing, top-down cinematography, abstract perspective, dramatic overhead motion

🎬 The French Dispatch, Anatomy of a Fall.

Sample Prompt: The camera starts high above, capturing the intricate symmetry of the spiral staircase, its golden railing curling into infinity. The motion slowly moves downward, the lines of the staircase closing in, the depth compressing into an optical illusion of an endless fall. The camera tightens its framing, reducing the staircase to an abstract spiral, making the woman’s descent feel inescapable. Shot with a cinematic 35mm drone lens for precise rotational movements.

✅ CREATE FACELESS VIDEO CONTENT

I mentioned last week that I’m testing platforms that can help you easily create “faceless” videos. After going through a few, so far it looks like this one could be my top rated favorite. MORE TO COME…
