In this issue, I’ll finish this 8 part How-To Video AI series called Depth & Tracking Shots, I’ve broken down some sweet cinematic shots and techniques that emphasize scale and depth. I use Kling 1.6 to create these samples but try the prompts in whatever video tool you use. Here’s a demo reel:

The camera tilts ever so slightly as he descends the steps, his boots striking the stone with measured authority, reinforcing the unrelenting dominance he exudes. Shot with a 50mm lens to emphasize scale, keeping focus sharp on facial details, intimidation aura.

🔥 Expanding perspective & elevation.

Sample Prompt: The camera starts at ground level, framing the warrior’s trembling hands as they grip the hilt of a shattered sword, their breath visible in the cold air. The motion begins a slow vertical ascent, revealing their slumped shoulders, the dirt caking their armor, the bodies of fallen warriors sprawled around them like broken statues. The camera continues its climb, transitioning seamlessly to a drone zoom-out, the battlefield expanding infinitely, tiny figures scattered in patterns of destruction, until the warrior becomes just another lost soul in a war too vast to comprehend. The motion whips suddenly across the desk to a corkboard covered in newspaper clippings, the red string connecting faces and places. The detective’s breath quickens as he lunges for a missing piece of the puzzle, his realization hitting like a freight train. The camera whips back to his face, his expression shifting from confusion to determination in an instant. Shot with a handheld 40mm lens for intimate framing, moody grading enhances the classic noir aesthetic.

🔥 Like the last one, but with a stronger focus on geometry and spatial relationships.

⚙️ Extreme overhead shot, drone descending, god’s eye perspective, top-down cinematic motion, high-altitude framing, omniscient composition, abstract geometry, dynamic aerial cinematography.

🎬 The Whale, Barbie.

Sample Prompt: The camera starts at an extreme altitude, capturing an immense circular pattern etched into the desert floor, lines stretching outward like an ancient sigil. The motion begins a slow descent, drawing the figure into focus as the details of the symbols sharpen, emphasizing their deliberate design. Dust swirls around the lone figure, who remains perfectly still. The camera gradually narrows its framing, the vast desert retreating, forcing the viewer to confront the silent figure at the heart of the enigma. Shot with a high-altitude 85mm drone lens, slow descent calibrated for precision.
